Request a yard sign

The cheapest name recognition there is. Signs work because neighbors notice what neighbors do — one on your lawn tells the whole street this campaign is real.

  • Free — we deliver and install it
  • About one minute to request
  • A volunteer calls before coming by

What volunteering looks like

A few ways to help

Knocking on doors

A few hours on a Saturday, always in a neighborhood we've mapped in advance. You'll get a list, a short script. Most conversations last under a minute; people are generally glad someone came by.

Phone calls

Reach out to registered voters and ask for their support. From your own couch, on your own schedule.

Delivering yard signs

Requires a car. You'll get a list of addresses and a stack of signs. This is the job that most directly determines whether the campaign looks real by October.

Literature drops

No conversation required — you're putting material at doors, not knocking.

Before you ask

Common questions

Do I have to be a Republican to volunteer?

No. Anyone who wants a better-run city is welcome, whatever their registration.

Do I have to live in Elmira?

To volunteer, no. To get a yard sign, yes — a sign only helps where people can vote in this race. If you're in Horseheads or Big Flats and want to help, phone calls and literature prep are always useful.

What happens after I sign up?

Someone from the campaign follows up within a few days, usually by email. There's no obligation and no minimum commitment — if a week doesn't work, say so.

What do you do with my information?

It's used to contact you about the campaign, and nothing else. We don't sell it and we don't share it with other campaigns or organizations. Ask to be removed at any time and you will be.

Can I put a sign somewhere other than my own yard?

Only with the property owner's permission — that's why the form asks. Signs on public right-of-way, medians, or utility poles are generally prohibited and get the campaign fined and the signs removed. If you manage a business or a corner lot and want a larger sign, say so on the form.

Start with one thing

A sign in your yard or two hours on a Saturday. Either one puts this campaign further along than it was this morning.
